At night it can be very difficult to see horses on the dark Sylmar streets lacking any street lights.
The scene is made even more dangerous when bright headlights are flashed in your face by oncoming traffic.
The horse fatality in Sylmar the other day made it clear that people on horses need to make it easier for cars to see them at night.
Although the horse in question had escaped from it's pen and was running wild, I personally have had trouble seeing horses at night.
