Studious and well mannered,
Brandon Deguzman has an indomitable spirit that has brought him many rewards.
Recently, Deguzman earned a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, the Korea style of martial arts.
During the past four years, he has competed in 10 tournaments and has won three first-place, four second-place and three third-place trophies and medals in Olympic-style sparring and forms.
He accomplished this using his training in Tae Kwon Do technique, but his courage and confidence is what led him to victory. Deguzman is known to calmly take on challengers who are very much larger than him.
At the USA Martial Arts School, Deguzman has learned self-defense, self-confidence and leadership. He has also developed a strong indomitable spirit of never giving up.
His martial arts school has recognized him with many annual awards such as best student in forms and best student in sparring.
Deguzman attends Paradise Canyon Elementary School and is in the fourth grade. His teacher is
Mickey Reardon. He is in the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Program.
He has many interests, including magic tricks, building things and advanced piano. His instructors, parents, classmates and friends all applaud his accomplishments.
