Contributed by: Monica Case on 5/29/2008

Viewpoint School senior Jamie Wheeler-Silverman of Tarzana will play defensive back on the Ventura County East All-Star Football Team in the All-Star Game at 6 p.m. June 7 at Ventura High School.

This is the first time a member of Viewpoint's Patriots football team will play in an 11-man All-Star Game.

In addition to playing on the Ventura County East All-Star Team, Wheeler-Silverman was also voted on to the 2007 All-Ventura County Team as a utility player; first Team All-Prep League; Prep League Defensive Player of the Year; and All-CIF East Valley Division (Division XII).

"We are thrilled that Jamie has been selected to participate in the Ventura County All-Star Football Game," said Viewpoint Football Coach Patrick Marquez. "It is a privilege and great honor to play in this game and we know Jamie will represent Viewpoint School, our community, his teammates and coaches the way he has played every game in his football career, with passion and determination."
