On Thursday, Jan. 10, the Sunshine Senior Club held its installation of new officers. After 20 years as president, Lillian Scharf had planned on retiring from the board. It was not to be.

Councilwoman from the 2nd district, Wendy Greuel, installed Lillian as vice-president and Marcia Kaplan as president. Completing the board positions are Bella Kaczor, hospitality chairperson, Rose Justh, ad donation chairperson, Marion Kassoy, board member and Margo Rubenstein, treasurer.

All members and guests enjoyed a sit down luncheon followed by livelyk entertainment from Wendy and Rick Becker.

The Sunshine Senior Club meets from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm Thursdays at the Valley Jewish Community Center. The center is located at 13164 Burbank Blvd. in Sherman Oaks.

Members participate in a variety of activities such as bingo, entertainment and day trips.
