Pet peeves - rising grocery prices
Contributed by: Meg Volk on 11/1/2007

Grocery prices are often misleading. Often times a good price in large print is followed in small print which almost needs to be read with a magnifying glass "with minimum purchase" or "no doubling or tripling."

Such practices are almost duplicitous. The reader must be wary at all times.

Another item of which to be wary is" Buy one, get one free". If you have been following prices, you will find that a single sale price is often less expensive. Free in large print with purchase in small print is another deceptive practice.

At this point, I will mention that I am a senior citizen living on social security so that grocery prices are important. Since money does not grow on trees, prices are also important to other people.

If you wish to be alert and careful, then use your eyesight and mind at all times as I do.

I care--
