Early in the morning, on Saturday, April 19, three baby sheep were born at Leonis Adobe Museum in Calabasas.
These photos were taken when the newborns were only seven hours old.
If you look closely, you can see the umbilical cords hanging down. All had learned to stand up - on very wobbly legs -and to nurse.
The babies are a Merino-cross breed. The ewe is the Merino parent.
Leonis Adobe Museum, a working ranch, has sheep, goats, horses, turkeys, and chickens; as well as many crops, including grapes, berries and pumpkins.
