Mia Princessa & Brothers LLC, a company in Valencia owned byfour miniature Dachshunds, is looking for a manufacturer to take on their new faucet design.
The name of this faucet is the Mia Princessa. The faucet itself looks like a dog-complete with head, eyes, ears and tail. It can be used in a kitchen, bathroom or any bar area.
The Mia Princessa is designed specifically for pet owners, pet lovers and pet professionals as a means to show their love for their pets. "There is no other manufacturer that I am aware of who has ever produced a faucet even remotely similar to the Mia Princessa," says
Pamela Ruckelshausen
, founder, manager and chief human officer of the company.
Ruckelshausen has worked at a plumbing and electrical company for 18 years. Her inspiration for creating this product was her four miniature Dachshunds - Mia, Rucks, Will and Brownie.
She says that she named the company in their honor and elected them as the honorable president and vice presidents. As the chief human officer, Ruckelshausen assists her Dachshunds in running the company.
"This faucet is really about them and all the other four-legged's in the world. They are the celebrities," Ruckelshausen remarked. "The Mia Princessa introduces a whole new dimension to the pet fashion world. It's simply a way for us to honor our pets. It's a new passion and a new fashion. This faucet would make a great gift for any pet lover."
According to the American Pet Product Manufacturers Association, Americans own an estimated 74 million dogs. Once her faucet is available to the public, Ruckelshausen believes it will sell extremely well.
Rachel Monroe
, a copywriter and marketing consultant for the pet industry, agrees. "The pet industry is growing at a phenomenal rate," Monroe said. "American's spend an estimated $40 billion a year on their pets. The pet industry is hungry for new designs and products. I think an item as unique as the Mia Princessa has a lot of potential."
Ruckelshausen has shared her design with several pet owners in order to get their feedback on her product.
Renee Slick
, who owns a Boston Terrier commented, "I think pet lovers everywhere will want one. Why have an ordinary faucet when you can have one that looks like your favorite pet."
Lynn Godish
, also a pet owner, says the Mia Princessa is very tastefully done. "Today, people are more conscious of their four-legged friends and spend lots of money on grooming products, clothing, and vacation accommodations. So why not have your very own pet faucet? I think the Mia Princessa will do very well once it is put on the market," she added.
Ruckelshausen has a marketing proposal and several detailed drawings of her faucet. She is actively looking for a manufacturer who would be interested in producing her design.

I have seen this product, it is very detailed. I can't wait until it is on the market. Having five labs of my own I am excited to purchase one of these for my home.

How fun! I'm going to look into this. My husband and son are both plumbers, and my son's family have a cute little doxie, Maddie.
