Mayor uses axe to cut cake

On May 31, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa used a fire axe to cut a cake at the Van Nuys Airport.

Surrounded by Fire Chief Douglas Barry, several city council members and the City Engineer, they celebrated the grand opening of Fire Station 114, built from Proposition R money.
