Attending LA Mayoral election candidate, WALTER MOORE'S: Rally in the Valley
In the San Fernando Valley's CSUN north corner, the Shoshone room Satellite Student Union Room a standing room only citizen rally was held. LA mayorial election candidate, Walter Moore (http://www.web.mac.com/waltermoore) hosted it. KFI's radio, Kevin James hosted this meeting. Mr. James has been very vocal on LA radio in his opposition to the current city administration questionable edicts to its residents. Mr. Moore informed the assembly about his background and his thoughts on correcting the current Los Angeles problems under Mayor Villarragossa flawed leadership. We heard how Mr. Moore is going to fix our city's problems.
Mr. Moore grew up in Florida to attend Princeton University. His universities major was problem solving in government bureaucracy. He received his degree in law and passed 'The Bar' examine the first time he took it. The informed audience widely smiled at Moore's statement because our current mayor did not pass the Bar exam and had to take it several times to pass it. We were told that Mr. Moore has collected $101,000 for his mayoral campaign fund. He will need much more to combat Mayor Villarragossa's campaign war chest that is largely contributed to by large local real estate developers. We heard about the City Council and Mayor's street fee waivers for millionaires and real estate developer's parties. While at the same time, they raise city necessary fees and taxes to LA residents. We also heard about the Mayor's current expensive junket trip to Israel while the city is in a financial debt. The irony is Villarragossa was asking city workers to voluntarily take two weeks off from work without pay to help alleviate the cities deficit budget. It seems while some tax monies are being raised and collected, much of those city monies are then wasted in the heavily spent city 'general fund'. Mr. Moore mentioned how many, if not all, Los Angeles newspapers are unfairly biased against Walter Moore's mayoral candidacy with such news printed statements as, 'Mayor Villarragossa is running un-opposed by any notable candidate!' Have your heard the term, 'Yellow Journalism'?
Also this occasion was used to promote Walter Moore's 'Jamiel's Law'. Jamiel Shaw Jr. was the high school student who was allegedly murdered by a twice-deported illegal alien violent convicted gang member with an 18-year-long police rap sheet of previous violent felonies. This gang member was not held for Immigration Customs Enforcement agency for immediate deporting out of this country due to city un-voted on 30-year-old executive order, Special Order 40. Jamiel Shaw was murdered twenty-four hours after the police released the gang member from jail custody. This Special Order 40 bars police officials from inquiring or investigating as to the immigration status of police crime suspects and tells the police personnel to not co-operate with federal ICE immigration officials. Several members of the murdered students Shaw family was in attendance and spoke warmly and individually to involve rally attendees. Moore wants to qualify a city resident's inniative signature petition for future voting on the next elections ballot. Many audience members picked up a petition for Jamiel's Law to get on the ballot. Look for and sign this Jamiel's Law petition near you. Jamiel's Law petition needs your signature. You have to be a registered voter and live in the CITY (not the county) of Los Angeles to qualify.
The room's seating was full and people were lined up along the side aisles and standing along the back tables. Many people took the time to meet Walter Moore, Kevin James and members of the Shaw family. Several members of the audience were known to be city activists and are backing Moore's mayoral election. Sam "SzinWestLA' Zilsman, Gloria 'Oldglory', Tony 'califnative' signed the Jamiel Law petition and picked up Walter Moore yard signs and car bumper stickers. There were ample bumper stickers and flyers as we begin our door-to-door battle for re-establishing Los Angeles homeowners and resident's control of City Hall. Get involved, sign the petition and vote!
