For a $300 tax-deductible donation to the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley, your pooch can live like a prince or princess in a one-of-a-kind, weather-resistant dog house.
Only 10 houses are available, and they can accommodate a great dane! There are two sizes - 30 inches x 30 inches and 30 inches x 42 inches.
"This was a true community project; these homes were built by the children at the Boys and Girls Club of the West Valley as a learning project in conjunction with the builders from the San Fernando/Santa Clarita Habitat for Humanity organization, which also donated the wood," said
Jan Sobel
, president and CEO of the club. "The palatial painting was then completed and donated by a variety of artists from around the San Fernando Valley."
Each house is painted a different theme and these include pirates, a Western hoedown, Hawaiian paradise, a swashbuckler castle and famous cartoon dogs.
To see these homes up-close, or for more information, please contactSobel at 818-610-1054 or e-mail j.sobel@wvbgc.org.
The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley helps meet the local need for safe, healthy, productive activities for youths during after-school hours.
Approximately 150 youngsters visit the club each day, in addition to 450 children provided after-school activities at Blythe and Reseda elementary schools, Canoga Park High School and Tierra del Sol.
The club is located at 7245 Remmet Ave., Canoga Park.
