Re above schedule of meetings, I've been wondering if our place, Sylmar, has a neighborhood council. It may have escaped my attention but I consider myself a voracious reader of events. I haven't come across a notice of such activity from our council.

Did you read Daily News Monday Nov.5. 2007 on LAUSD "Chilren must pay to play" page 1 and A10? LAUSD plans to charge for use of school grounds! Is Neighorhood Councils under NO CHARGE for groups that directly benfit youths in the school distict and require space (including Girl Scouts,Boy Scouts, Good News Clubs and parent-teacher associations). Or under permit fee for outside use meduim or high cost. The deadline is Jan 15 to apply for permits for the first for-moonth period, which begins in March 2008. Was on the board of Northridge West Neighborhood Council (NWNC new web site maybe up by Nov. or Dec. 2007) or e-mail nwncnews@dslextreme.com (not NWNC e-mail site)!
