Robert Morgenstern, a West Hills resident and a Woodland Hills-based attorney, has been appointed vice president of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC), the nation's largest state civil defense organization.
As vice president, Morgenstern will use his vast array of defense-related experience to assist the president of ASCDC and the executive board with special projects including planning and staging the ASCDC annual seminar. Additionally, he will work with the executive board to increase membership, facilitate greater recognition of the organization and provide educational opportunities to ASCDC members designed to keep them informed on issues that affect their practice and the right to civil jury trials.
"My goal this year is to work on ASCDC affiliation becoming even more vital to our members," said Morgenstern. "Through broad industry influence, especially in Sacramento, ASCDC provides the defense bar the opportunity to see just how important the organization is to not only its membership, but to the entire industry's ongoing success."
Morgenstern, a principal with Maranga*Morgenstern, is also a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Association of Defense Trial Lawyers and the American, and the California and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. He has successfully tried, arbitrated and mediated numerous matters. His areas of specialization include defense of catastrophic injury cases.
