Valley Village turns 68!

To celebrate Valley Village's 68th birthday, the Valley Village Neighborhood Council and the Valley Village Homeowners' Association threw a party on Sunday, March 11, that was an overwhelming success.

The party was held in the dining hall of the East Valley Senior Center, located at 11630 Hesby St., Valley Village.

Peter Sanchez, of the homeowners' association, Paul Weiner, of the neighborhood council, Zev Yaroslavsky, L.A. County Supervisor, Pearl Ricci with Congressman Howard Berman's office along with Mandy and Layla Galeck and more than 100 Valley Village residents sang "Happy Birthday" and then cut a large cake.

There were also cupcakes for the kids and Ben & Jerry's ice cream served up by Corey Gale. Beautiful fresh fruit and cheese platters were also in abundance.

The Steve Aho Group provided great music. Magician Joe Skiltonperformed for the children. Augusto Bisanip of BRAVO Systems provided the Espresso Bar. They all helped make the party extra special.

"Music, entertainment and great food, what a wonderful way to connect with your neighbors" said Ginny Hatfield of the Valley Village Neighborhood Council.
