Adolf Van Dooremolen was born in Holland and took a military position in the Dutch East Indies. He and his family became POW's during WWII. He later imigrated to the U.S. and settled in Sylmar where he has lived nearly 50 years.

On his 97th birthday on Dec. 5 his daughter Maria presented him with a copy of Angel of the East Indies, Biography of the Van Dooremolen family. His son in law, Dino Fanara wrote this epic novel about Adolf and his family's struggle to survive the concentration camps as a tribute tohim, his wife Hendrika and their four children.

Chapter titles like, Hell Ships, Railroad of Death, Angel Devil, give you an idea of the suspense and dangers he and his family faced. Hendrika's remarkable faith during their internment was remarkable. Angel of the East Indies may be ordered through Barnes and Noble and other on-line retailers.

What a wonderful tribute his son has done in writing their live story. Good luck and great success with it, and Happy Birthday to Mr. Van Dooremolen.
