Hidden Hills Boy Scout Troop # 642 is proud to announce that Kurtis Freedland has reached the rank of Eagle Scout.

This lofty accomplishment is achieved by less than 1 percent of all boys who enter the Scouting program.

Kurtis is a 15-year-old sophomore at Calabasas High School and a resident of Hidden Hills.

His service project was replacing fire damaged and destroyed trail signs and markers on the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve (formerly Ahmanson Ranch).

Kurtis logged more than 300 hours in the planning and execution of his project. Congratulations Kurtis!
