Parents Against Leukemia (PAL), an affiliate of the Los Angeles Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, was given the "Partners Against Leukemia" award, Sunday, March 18 at a dinner held at the L'Enfant Hotel in Washington, D.C. The award honored PAL for 25 years of fundraising and was accepted by Co-President, Lorrie Kole & Co-Founder, Midge Reisman of the San Fernando Valley.

This is the second such honor received by PAL, the first being the Silver de Villiers Award, received in 2003 in recognition of outstanding volunteer accomplishments.

For the 26th year, PAL will host its annual amateur Women's and Mixed Doubles tennis tournament and luncheon on Monday, May 21 at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills where 550 guests are expected. Those interested should call Laurie King (818) 780-2848 for tournament entry and/or luncheon only.

On October 28th, PAL's 2nd annual gala will take place at the Woodland Hills Country Club. For details please e-mail lkole@sbcglobal.net or call (818) 888-2206.
