Neighborhood Council Valley Village celebrated its fifth anniversary as a neighborhood council on Sunday, Sept. 21, hosted by The Country School, located at 5243 Laurel Canyon Blvd., Valley Village.
The event was free to the community and several hundred stakeholders were joined by Assemblymember
Mike Feurer, L.A. Councilmember
Wendy Greuel, Department of Neighborhood Empowerments General Manager
Bong Hwan Kim, Commissioner
Al Abrams of Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and
LAPD Senior Lead Officer
Mike Lewis.
All those who attended enjoyed an afternoon of socializing, visiting with neighbors and connecting with those they have been meaning to get to know better.
The event highlighted the Valley Village business community, and many businesses were on hand to showcase their services and launch a new NCVV Business Directory.
Shakey's Pizza, Subway and Angulino Italian Restaurant provided the wonderful food and Starbucks Coffee Co. provided the coffee.
Valley Village businesses Greener and Greener, Gloria's Boutique, Shamrock Imports, Complete Total Care, Valley Village Homeowners Association, East Valley Senior Center, Dr.
Charles J. Young D.D. S., J.A.W./Just Add Water Landscape, Ms. Tonya's of Hollywood, Faith Presbyterian Church of Valley Village, Coach Sam's Cozy Corner Fitness Center, Chayo Salon, Intaglio Printing and By Karina Face & Body Painting were on hand for the party.
Music by DJ Steve added to the fun.Neighborhood Council Valley Village held drawings for prizes donated by local merchants.
