There's more fun than sleep at slumber parties
Contributed by: Kids Letters on 6/16/2008

TODAY'S TOPIC: We asked what happens at slumber parties?

I've been to many great sleepovers but one of my favorites was at my friend Ashley's party. Her party was around Halloween so it was quite interesting. We got to dress up and play games that were absolutely fun. We played wrap the mummy where one of the teammates gets to be wrapped in toilet paper by the teammates and whoever gets wrapped first, wins. We also got this full bag of clothes and had to reach in without looking and whatever you pulled out you have to wear no matter how silly. So, as you can see, sleepovers are exquisite.

I think slumber parties are still popular because I hear almost everyday people talking about slumber parties. At school, you do not have a lot of time to play and talk with your friends. When I had a sleepover with my cousin, David, we played a lot of games. We usually play Monopoly, shooting arrows and PS2. After we played those games, we had to read as we promised. I think that kids still bring sleeping bags to sleepovers. Sleeping all together on the floor is one of the fun parts in a slumber party. And, it makes me feel like I'm camping. I hope I can have a sleepover this coming summer.

I don't know about you guys but I still have slumber parties myself. My friends and I actually just had a recent one. The party was rad! We played limbo and pass around the candy which was a blast! We brought sleeping bags. Boy, did we have a sweet tooth that night. We ate so much junk I'm surprised our stomachs didn't explode! One thing we did was stay up the whole night until four thirty a.m. in the morning. I was really tired that next day. Last but not least, one of my favorite things to do is have a pillow fight. The feathers go everywhere! Woo-hoo!

Slumber parties are for girls. Sleepovers are for boys. At sleepovers, I hang around and play sports. Sometimes I bring sleeping bags. Sleepovers are fun.

Slumber parties are still in. I do games and movies for my slumber parties. For games, we play Twister, Candy Land and to wrap it up, Monopoly. We order a large pepperoni sausage pizza, with a large soda bottle and vanilla ice cream to make root beer floats. Me, I do bring my sleeping bag with a big pillow and bunny stuffed animals.

Yes, I still think slumber parties are pretty popular and some people still do bring sleeping bags. What I do at slumber parties is I have pillow fights and eat popcorn while I watch movies.

Yes, slumber parties are still popular because it is fun to sleepover. Yes, they do bring their sleeping bags so they can sleep in it at the slumber parties. They have stuff to play with, too. They have make-overs, what do you want to be when you grow-up, truth or dare and a bunch of other stuff. Slumber parties are really fun.

I think slumber parties are still popular because I went to about five slumber parties last year and about three this year so far. We did crafts like making bracelets, painting on a sweater and making at tent. We played truth or dare, card games, a board game, played with toys, dress up with toys and much more. Sometimes we bring sleeping bags and a pillow because we are sleeping on the floor or sleeping outside in the backyard. My sister had a sleepover on March 22, 2008!

My most memorable sleepover was on my trampoline. My cousin Shane, my friend Ian and my dad and I all had a fun time sleeping on the trampoline. We brought down my portable DVD player and we watched "Jaws." It was so scary watching such a classic horror movie in the dark. We also ate giant homemade chocolate chip cookies. Yum! During the movie, we all fell asleep in our sleeping bags. That's what I do when I have a sleepover.

Slumber parties are awesome. My friends and I slept over at my friend's house. We slept outside in the dark. We were talking when I looked in the garage and I saw something glowing! We were sleeping on a trampoline. So, we got off and turned the garage light on and it was gone! We went to sleep and we woke up in the morning and we started jumping. We told ourselves we are never sleeping on the trampoline again. But we had a blast. We had a pillow fight!

Yes, slumber parties are popular! We play tag, crack the egg and bored games. Yes, you do still bring sleeping bags! Tag is on the grass. Crack the egg is on the trampoline. Bored games, anywhere. We drink soda. We eat pizza and salsa. If you want, you can sleep on the trampoline!

I think sleepovers are still in style. They are probably even cooler than before. I love doing games like musical chairs, freeze dance, pin the tail on the donkey and truth or dare. I don't do sleeping bags. I just pile blankets in my living room.

I love slumber parties although I have only been to three. My first one was with 20 of my friends. My second one was with three of my friends. My third was with six of my cousins. In all of them, we had a pillow fight and watched a good movie. Also, we played video games.

I had a wonderful sleepover at my house. Tony and Chris went to my house. We played with my ball. We played with my Game Boy Advance. We ate pizza. We ate Hot Cheetos. We had fun. When we were sleeping, Chris was snoring. The sleepover was fun.

Sleepovers are really fun. People still do have them. I mean, why wouldn't they? What I usually do at a sleepover is tell scary stories or have pillow fights or watch TV. I usually have to bring sleeping bags to other peoples' houses because their beds are not big enough. Usually at sleepovers, we all go to bed a little later than we were supposed to. I love sleepovers.

I think sleepovers are still popular. When my friends sleep over, we play hide and go seek. We play it when it's dark because that way it's harder to find people. After, we go inside and play FIFA 08 on my PS2. My friends bring sleeping bags because they say they feel comfortable.
