san fernando elks lodge 1539 thanksgiving dinner

well we are on our way to makeing this year bigger then our previous years. thanksgiveing dinner for the needey.last year we servied 1450,down from two years ago. it is going to take a lot of help.we need volinteers to work the seving line and to service the handicapped. we are looking for our usual celebritees,for the past years now state senater alex padilla,richard alacon now l.a.citycouncel member,and others who have come out to help. although the lodge will try and furnish the turkey's we will need donations of pie's,cakes rolls.canned items etc. for a compleat dinner. one of our member's,master chef rudy garcia head of the culinary dept. and his staff at mission college in sylmar. will be prepairing the turkeys,

the chairtable organization m.e.d. and along with liveing hope community church will have articles of clothing,can goods and many other items for the needy,located in our parking lot. they are also looking for clothing and items to wear, canned food etc.

we are prepaired to serive as many it takes,no one should go hungry this thanksgivein and we pledge that as long you come and eat with us you will leave with a smile on you face says chairmen bob medellin past state vice presadent metroplitain district in the elks. our first chairmen who had a vision many years ago to start this program will be traveling many miles to be with us,many remmber rick drew, when you come for dinner say hi to rick.
