Since 1961, Southern California's favorite old-time, folk and bluegrass music festival will be held this year will be held on May 20 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Paramount Ranch, on Cornell Road near Agoura in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area on Western film sets and mountain locations.
The 47 th Annual Topange Banjo Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival features over 100 contestants on the main stage and professional bands including
Tom Ball and
Kenny Sultan, Molly's Revenge and
Peter Feldman & the Very Lonesome Boys. On the Railroad Stage, see
Fur Dixon and
Steve Werner,
Richard Greene,
John Weed and
Stuart Mason,
Susie Glaze and
Ross Altman. On the covered Pavilion Stage, see
Dan Slosberg,
Peter Feldmann and KCSN's Cowboy Nick.
The festival also features folk singing, international dancing, folk arts booths, jamming musicians and children's music and crafts!
Tickets sold only at the gate: $12 ages 18-64, $7 for young 'uns 10-17 and seniors 65 and up. Kids under 10 get in free! Parking and shuttle bus are free! Bring a picnic, bring your instruments, bring your mother-in-law!
