Thankful for Thanksgiving Jell-O Salad!
Contributed by: Sheryl Lynn Johnson on 11/2/2006

On Thanksgiving morning we pack up in the car for the ride South on the 405 traveling to Long Beach for Thanksgiving. My husband and I grew up there, and our parents live in that area as well. One of our favorite traditions at our Thanksgiving table is the Thanksgiving Cranberry Jell-O Salad. This recipe has been served at every Thanksgiving table in our family for the past four generations. It's truly a Four Generation Family Favorite! It's simple - it's creamy - it passes the taste tests of all ages! Try it if you haven't! It may become one of your traditions as well.

Thanksgiving Cranberry Jell-O Salad

1 large Jell-O (cherry, strawberry or raspberry-just red!)
2 cups boiling water
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1 16 oz. tub sour cream

Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Pour into blender and add cranberry sauce and sour cream. Blend until smooth. Pour into Jell-O mold or 8" x 8" square glass pan and chill until firm. That's it! Enjoy! I'm sure you'll pass this around the table a few times!
