2008 Amateur Radio Field Day Locations
June 28 - 29, 2008

The general public and all amateur radio operators are cordially invited to the 2008 FIELD DAY on June 28-29 in the San Fernando Valley and hosted by the Los Angeles Section Amateur Radio Emergency Service (Northwest and Southwest Districts ARES), The San Fernando Valley Amateur Radio Club (SFVARC), and the Los Angeles City Fire Department Auxiliary Radio Service (LAFD ACS)!

This annual event gives amateur radio operators a great opportunity to display our disaster preparedness and ham radio experience to the community, and to get together with family and friends, allowing the public to operate "on the air," socialize and learn new things.

This year, the Los Angeles Section Amateur Radio Emergency Service will be partnering with students and faculty at Pierce College and their Electronics Department. We will operate right on campus in Parking Lot 5. The hilltop at this particular location offers great vistas of the city, thus rendering a great radio site for our operation!

The San Fernando Valley Amateur Radio Club will be at the parking garage at Northridge Hospital, on Cantara just west of Etiwanda.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Auxiliary Radio Service will conduct it's Field Day Activities at Fire Station 109 located at 16500 Mulholland Dr., Encino Hills. Thomas Guide page: 561E7
