What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS As part of the ongoing Breast Cancer Connection series, The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura will present "Breast Reconstruction: Understanding Your Options" with Dr. Gil Kryger, MD and Dr. Zol Kryger, MD, from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, and repeated from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17. The workshop will be heldat The Wellness Community, located at 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village, which serves the western part of the San Fernando Valley. This event is free for breast cancer survivors and their loved ones. To RSVP, please call 805-379-4777. This workshop will cover the various reconstructive options in simple terms, highlighting the differences between techniques - and the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. Discussion will include what option is best suited for each type of patient and important considerations for friends and family members of a woman undergoing reconstruction. Kryger graduated from UC San Francisco School of Medicine, followed by a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University and fellowships in hand surgery at Southern California Orthopedic Institute and microsurgery at USC. Kryger graduated from Stanford Medical School, followed by a seven-year residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, and research fellowships at Buncke Clinic for Microsurgery and the Wound Healing Laboratory at Northwestern University. They both founded the Kryger Institute of Plastic Surgery, with offices in West Hills and Thousand Oaks.
