Wouldn't you love to have a diary or letter written by your grandparents describing their daily lives and family history? Imagine how precious your written memories will be to future generations. What was your life like as a child and as a teenager? How did you (or your parents) get through the Depression? What were your experiences in World War II? How did you experience the Vietnam War, the Hippie era, the Civil Rights Movement? What's your life like today? Were your family recent immigrants or have they lived in America for generations? Are there family stories that should be passed on? Would you also like to do some genealogical research? In the Life Story Writing classmembers share their life stories with each other and learn step-by-step techniques for improving writing, memory, and speaking skills. You don't need any writing experience-just bring yourself and your memories. If you're not ready to write yet...no problem, just come and enjoy being a part of class. You'll also enjoy learning about others' lives and appreciating your own. Two times and locations to choose from:
