Lakers playing strong

I am watching the Lakers game right now, it's really exciting. They are undefeated. A lot of times the regular season can sometimes be boring, but when you have the best team in the league and they are playing like it, they deserve to be watched. Even being one game undefeated is cool, but fives games unbeaten? You gotta watch.

I just wanted to say I think Trevor Ariza is a great pick up. The Lakers haven't seen what he can do since he has been so injured last year. He reminds me of Eddie Jones but without the explosive offense, but he is still an extremely athletic player, something the Lakers seem to lack. Lakers have a lot of size and skill, but not a whole lot of pure athleticism except for maybe Kobe.

And Kobe really needs to play within the offense. Whether he scores a lot early or in the fourth quarter, he seems to be just a pull up jump shooter. When's he going to learn to run the offense instead of just being some awesome one-on-one player. His defense is great, his offense is great, but he doesn't involve his teammates as much as he should.

Sure he can make shots, but a lot of times he attempts difficult shots. He needs to learn to get every advantage he can and play the percentages. That means not just taking a shot from 15-20 feet out without ever passing the ball.

I think putting Odom on the bench was a great move, because Odom sometimes had trouble finding a place for himself when he was the number 3 or even 4 offensive weapon. As it is now, he should be close to the number 1 or number 2 option and it will allow him to play his game easier coming off the bench.
