All good things must come to an end. Last night I attended a very special event hosted by the Thousand Oaks City Council. They presented Terry Schroeder and a few members of his staff & team nice certificates for their achievement especially in light of the fact the team trained right here in Canejo Valley, specifically at CLU & Oaks Christian High School. Terry attributed the Teams sucess in large part the fact that the team was given such a tremendous welcome to out neighborhood and the comminuty out pouring of support in housing these athletes was unmatched. "Moving the Team from Orange County was the best thing we ever did"as perCoach Terry Schroeder.
Attached is a photo I took last night of Terry's and his folks with the Mayor and Council of Thousand Oaks.
It has been a great honor for me to represent the USA Olympic Water Polo team to you the reader on Terry Schroeder's behalf.
Time for the next challenge.
Thank you for following our team all the way to Beijing and supporting them as they tackled the World. Coming in second when you are ranked ninth is a tremendous achievement!!
Congratulations on the Silver Medal Terry, well done!! I hope you plan to stay the course and get a team prepared to win Gold in the London Olympics in 2012.
