Hikes, Campfires, and other Free Programs
Where can you go for an amazing night hike in the city? Where can you take your kids for the best family campifre in the outdoors? Where can I find a park near me? Your answer is right here!! The Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority has parks all throughout the Los Angeles area, where we offer free scheduled hikes, campfire programs, educational presentations, among other special events and programs. Live Native Animals at the King Gillette Campfire

On
August 14th
we will be hosting a
special campfire
at
King Gillette Ranch!!!
And by special I mean, we are bringing in
LIVE NATIVE ANIMALS
!!!! The
Nature of Wildworks
will be bringing several animals and will tell you all about them. All you have to do is come on out to our park!!! After the live animal presentaton we will sing songs and roast marshmallows around the campfire!!
This is definitely a campfire you do not want to miss!!!
Where else can you sing songs, roast marshmallows around a campfire, and see a bunch of native animals up close? Nowhere!!!
Well unless you come out to Franklin Canyon Park on Wedneday (the 15th) or Temescal Gateway Park on Thursday (the 16th) where we will have encore presentations.
