Summer fun and adventure for ages 7-13

Give your child an unforgettable summer camp experience. At Earth Adventure Camp, every session focuses on an environmental theme with a great mix of learning and a healthy dose of old-fashioned summer fun. In addition to a week packed with fun and games, each camp session includes a themed field trip, pool time, nature activities, and a beach day.

Camp Hours 9am to 3pm

Extended Hours 7am to 9am & 3pm to 6pm

Week 1 - Nature Adventure

Plants, animals and more, oh my - Study plants, mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, and everything nature has to offer. This week offers hands-on exploration into habitats, wildlife, and the plant world. We will identify native trees and plants, hike in the park, and check out its wild inhabitants. Our field trip takes us to the Santa Monica Aquarium for a closer look a the local marine life followed by a visit to the Santa Monica Pier with unlimited ride wristbands.

Week 2 - Wilderness Adventure

The perfect adventure for any budding, young explorer. Find out how you could survive in the wild! Each day is filled with a new survival skill as orienteering, recognizing edible plants, making cordage from plant fibers, building a fire, reading animal signs, tracking, and shelter building. We will spend the afternoon learning the traditional ways of the Chumash Native Americans with a visit to Wishtoyo, a seaside Chumash demonstration village. An adventure your child will never forget.

Week 3 - Science Adventure

Let your child's inner scientist shine in a week of experimentation and adventure. We will be exploring everything science can teach us through observation and sensory activities. Cooking with a solar oven, using a microscope to investigate what's living in the pond, and making our own tie dye is all part of the fun. This week, we will head off to a great science experience at the Natural History Museum and the California Science Center, including a showing at the IMAX Theater.

Week 4 - Space Adventure

Chase wandering planets and the movement of the earth in this close-up look to the outer reaches of our solar system. Learn how to identify the phases of the moon and start a moon calendar. Even with the sun out, we will be able to examine the wondrous world of the sky, and explore some of the mysteries of the universe. The Griffith Observatory is on the calendar for an out-of-the-world experience at their planetarium show.

Stay All Night, All Week!

Week 4 offers an optional overnight stay for campers ages nine and up, with accommodations in our modern dormitories. Meals will be provided, and there will be additional activities such as night hikes

and campfires.
