New Weekend Means New Programs in Franklin Canyon!

This weekend at Franklin Canyon Park we have several fun outdoor activities and hikes for everyone to enjoy!

Evening Birds and other Creatures of the Night: The Canyon is full of activity when the sun goes down. Learn about this hidden nocturnal world on a casual sunset stroll around Franklin Canyon Lake. Meet at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center in Franklin Canyon Park on March 8 th at 5pm. Bring binoculars. 2 hrs.

Messages from the Animals: The animals in our lives bring us messages, guidance and healing gifts. Learn what they are telling you on this fun meditative hiking journey. Join us on March 8 th at 5pm at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center in Franklin Canyon Park for this exciting hike!! All ages are welcome. 2 hrs.


Fitness Hike: Join us at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center in Franklin Canyon Park on March 9th at 9am for a Fitness Hike!!! Get movin' with fitness enthusi­ast MRCA volunteer Zahava on this moderate hike and measure your progress by working your way up to a more vigorous pace. Begin­ners welcome - bring water and your dog if you like. Wear workout/hiking shoes. Rain cancels. 2hrs.


The Faces of Franklin Canyon: Join us at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center in Franklin Canyon Park on March 9 that 10am for the Faces of Franklin Canyon. Find out who William Mulholland, Sooky Goldman and other influential faces of Franklin Canyon Park are!!!
