Girl's Basketball Team Triumphs
The Fifth & Sixth Grade Girls' basketball team at Santa Clarita Christian School won their league championship on Thursday (March 15) in a close game with Grace Community School. The GCS Hawks played hard, but the SCCS Cardinals toughed it out for a victory of 19 to 16. Small and wiry "hoop master, " McKinley Kane (#3) scored points for the Cardinals with an ease and agility that amazed the crowd. The rest of this talented team worked together guarding and passing balls to her to make this a true team triumph. Coach Stacey Leonard and assistant coach Christina Gurrola were proud of their team's success.

What a surprise! Thank you for reporting on this hard working team....even though they are still in elementary school. Keep an eye on these girls as they work together in the future....there is a lot of talent on this basketball team.
