A few player slots for individuals or foursomes are still available for the third annual Zonta Golf Tournament, scheduled for Monday, May 19, at Robinson Ranch Golf Course.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the shotgun start will launch the tournament at 10 a.m.

The tournament is organized on a best-ball format, allowing novice players to take advantage of the strongest golfers on their team. The $175 fee includes lunch on the course, golf cart, range balls, 18 holes of golf, gift bags and a buffet supper.

Golfers who purchase a super ticket will be eligible for hole-in-one contests on designated holes offering a brand new golf cart and other prizes.

Four lucky players will have a chance to sink their ball on the 18th green from a set yardage to win a cash prize of $100,000. A four-day vacation will go to the player with the lowest scratch-off score on his or her super ticket.

This year's tournament also will offer a wide array of opportunity drawing prizes and a mini-auction for a week's stay on Maui in an ocean-front, three-bedroom house in a private gated community.

Title sponsor for this year's tournament is the Santa Clarita law firm of Mehta & Mann.

Proceeds from the tournament help to support Zonta's local and international programs to advance the status of women.

Local Zonta projects include Healthy Woman's Day with free health screenings for uninsured and underinsured local women, Healthy Kids Club for underprivileged girls from Val Verde, Virginia Wrage memorial grants for mature women facing a life change and financial grants to local non-profit organizations which support Zonta's mission to advance the status of women.
