Female golfers will be making the social rounds during the Women On Course Happy Hour to be held at Valencia's Salt Creek Grille on Wednesday, October 10. Hosted by local golf fashion hotspot Bellasport, Happy Hour participants will be invited to the store, located across the street from Salt Creek Grille in Town Center, for dessert and a special shopping opportunity immediately following the event.

The Women on Course Happy Hour will include a networking exercise, food and wine, and an informal fashion show from Bellasport. "Golf has become such a lifestyle and Bellasport's fashions reflect that," Bellasport owner Anna Ott said. "We have designers such as Burberry, Lija, Jamie Sadock, and Calvin Klein, all of whom offer fantastic looks for on or off the course."

The 2-hour event will also feature a presentation by TV host, author, and LPGA player Debbie Steinbauch-Keller, also known as "Venus" in the golfing world. "Debbie is very passionate and enthusiastic about bringing more women into the game of golf, which has earned her place among 'Golf for Women's Top 50 Instructors' for five years in a row," said Donna Craig, president of Women on Course. "Her wit and wisdom help women feel at ease with the game and stresses that the number one benefit of golf is fun."

Women on Course was launched in 2006 and has over 14,000 members nationwide. Their mission? To expose female golfer to others who enjoy the game, as well as information and resources to gain confidence in taking their game to the next level. The organization introduced events to Southern California in the spring of 2007.

"Word of mouth has spread to Santa Clarita and the demand prompted this event on October 10," Craig said. "I am pleased to partner with Bellasport, as fashion is one of the key draws to women in the game. With the offering of stylish and attractive clothing, women feel better about dressing up for the golf course, as well as corporate outings."
