Contributed by: Emily Chiominto on 3/3/2008

The Hart High School Cheerleaders won 1st place at the California Cheerleading Championships at Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday, Feb. 23.

There were 38 high school cheerleading squads from all over California competing in the event.

The Hart Varsity team was awarded a trophy, $1,000 and Magic Mountain season passes for their win in the large varsity division.

The Hart team continues its winning streak and remains undefeated.

The girls have won all five of the competitions that they've participated in. Their wins include the CIF State Championship at the Home Depot Center on Dec. 15 and the Cheer Pro's Championship held at California State University at Long Beach on Jan. 27.

They've also won two regional competitions, qualifying them to attend USA Nationals at the Anaheim Convention Center on March 7, 8 and 9, where they hope to finish their season with a win.

The Hart cheerleaders are coached by Amanda Sabo and Samantha Maggio. Their choreographer is Shelly Gramatky of Gym Cheer USA. Lisa Parra is the Hart cheer advisor and is assisted by Aimee Burlingham.
