The city of Santa Clarita and the Dodger Day Committee is accepting entries for a Santa Clarita vocalist or vocalists to sing the National Anthem at the 31st annual Santa Clarita Dodger Day on Saturday, June 7.
The game officially begins at 12:55 p.m., with pre-game activities beginning at 12:45 p.m.
Interested participants must live in the Santa Clarita Valley and submit a VHS, 8MM Video tape or DVD of themselves singing the National Anthem. It is asked that submissions not be recorded or edited in a recording studio.
In addition, a short biography and brief background of previous performance and singing experience must accompany each submission. Both individuals and groups of up to four people may apply.
Recorded auditions must be received at Santa Vlarita City Hall, 23920 Valencia Blvd., by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 1.
The Los Angeles Dodgers organization will make the final decision and will notify only the winner. Audition materials will not be returned, but can be picked up at City Hall in Suite 120.
Those interested in auditioning can submit all required materials to the city of Santa Clarita's arts and events office at 23920 Valencia Blvd., Suite 120, Santa Clarita.
The Santa Clarita Dodger Day tickets can be purchased until Thursday, May 29 . The discounted prices for these tickets that are available to all Santa Clarita residents are as follows: Field Level: $30; Infield Reserve: $20; and the All-You-Can-Eat Right Pavilion Field: $28.
Tickets for the Santa Clarita Dodger Day can be purchased at City Hall, The Signal, KHTS or Washington Mutual.
