Potholes? Burned-out streetlights? Want to know about a construction project in your neighborhood?
Now these and hundreds of other requests and inquires can easily be submitted to Santa Clarita City Hall, thanks to an all new and improved "eService" online request system.
Anyone can visit the city's Web site at
www.santa-clarita.com/eService to submit various requests, inquires or questions to the city, and the new system will automatically forward the requests to the appropriate staff person.
Communicating with your local government has never been easier. What's more, this new system allows residents to create a user account that will enable them to check the status of a request or review any past inquires previously made to the city.
Santa Clarita introduced the new program on March 10 with the intent of enhancing the community's access to their local government officials.
Now, residents don't need to know which department or division is responsible for their question. By going online, they can quickly and easily submit requests, questions, or comments from anywhere on a 24/7/365 basis.
"eService is part of our growing suite of on-line services intended to create transparency in government and improve our residents' ability to seamlessly communicate with their local government, explained
Ken Pulskamp, City Manager. "In today's world, there is an expectation for 24/7 support and real-time. Why should local government be any different?"
The city also offers an eNotify system, which allows residents to sign up for email notification for a variety of topics, and a community calendar, which provides information on city and community events.
