Bob Fosse and jazzy Broadway numbers will be the theme of "Fashion ... and All That Jazz," Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Guild's 24th annual fashion show, luncheon and boutique on Oct. 26 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel.
"Mix jazzy music with jazzy fashion and you have the makings of an upbeat, exciting afternoon," said Guild fashion event co-chairperson
Shelley Hann, who shares the title with
Tamara Levine. "As always, we'll have surprise guests and entertainment to keep the audience guessing."
Last year,
Sabrina Bryan ("Cheetah Girls") and
Mark Ballas, both of ABC's hit show "Dancing with the Stars," attended the event. Fashion critic
Mr. Blackwell also made his annual appearance.
"Fashion ... and All That Jazz" will feature professional models in the latest designs from Margo's and J. David Custom Clothiers of Valencia. The guild's 2008 Silver Rose Debutantes will also make a stylish appearance, escorted down the runway by their fathers or community leaders serving as chevaliers.
A fashion-themed boutique with more than 30 vendors will start at 10 a.m.
Celebrity mistress of ceremonies
Lora McLaughlin, a correspondent for CBS Newspath, will preside over the festivities, with help from
Ed Masterson, a representative from Assemblyman
Cameron Smyth's office.
Seven hundred guests are expected to attend "Fashion ... and All That Jazz," with the goal of raising $50,000 for laboratory services at Henry Mayo.
