Working together a historic moment!
Contributed by: valleynews.com for David Jallo on 4/13/2007

Here are some pictures from the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society, a tenant at William S. Hart Park in Newhall. These show Los Angeles County Regional Facilities Plumber Sam Beards in action fixing a broken fire sprinkler for this non-profit operating a museum on the park. Coming together to accomplish this task are city staff and county staff. To assist our plumber to reach this sprinkler, on the second story of the Saugus train station, the City of Santa Clarita provided a lift truck that carried Sam up and away.....

This shows great teamwork and interagency cooperation. Big thanks go to Sam Beards, Ron Cox and Pat Saletore at the Historical Society for leading the charge. Pat also managed to get Metrolink involved to manage traffic on the adjacent railway line and install a Semaphore Signal Pole for the Historical Society to give Saugus Station an authentic look.
