Kids make simply sensational salads!
Contributed by: Kids Letters on 8/11/2008

TODAY'S TOPIC: August is National Salad Month. What kind of salad would you make?

In my salad, I will put egg, macaroni, tomatoes, steak, broccoli and pickles. I will not forget ranch on my salad because ranch is my favorite dressing. I will also put on cheese because it is also my favorite.
Nathan Penaflor, 7

In my perfect salad, I would have chicken, meat, broccoli and chili. I would like vegetables like onions, tomatoes and two slices of potatoes. It would also taste good with Cheetos, peas, celery and ham. I would enjoy a perfect salad.
Areli Ramirez, 8
Fernangeles Elementary
Sun Valley

My favorite salad will have lots of ingredients. It will have tomatoes, croutons, steak, cherries, carrots, cucumbers, peaches and ranch dressing. On Monday, I will eat my salad.
Kimberly Perez, 8

In my salad, I will put tomato and macaroni and cheese. I will also put ranch dressing. I will also put turkey legs, cheddar cheese, potato and steak. I will also put broccoli. And I also will put lettuce and crackers.
Juan Meneces, 8

My favorite salad in the whole world will have these ingredients: onion, ham, lettuce, sashimi, cucumber and the best ingredient will be steak. This salad would be the best thing ever and I would be a rich boy if I sold it!

If I make a salad, I will put in a lot of ingredients. I will put in strawberries, apples, oranges, vegetables and ranch dressing. I will eat it in the morning.

Hey, Moms and Dads! Keep those letters coming! The kids are out of school for the summer, but that doesn't mean their brains have to go on vacation, too. Encourage your children to keep up their reading and writing by keeping up with our weekly questions throughout the summer. We like hearing their thoughts - serious, insightful or amusing.
