"I'm pleased to bring osteopathic medicine services to the Santa Clarita Valley.Osteopathic physicians are rare in this area, so it's a special honor to offer my services here," said Dr. Caravaglia."Osteopathic physicians are specially trained in the "whole person" approach to medicine.Instead of treating specific symptoms or illnesses, we regard the body as an integrated whole.I find practicing medicine much more satisfying because I can add a hands-on approach to traditional therapies."
In addition to her medical training Dr. Caravaglia brings unusual real-life experience to her practice:She put herself through college and medical school as a single mother of three."I have a special understanding of the stresses and strains people face in their everyday lives and how those can affect their health," she said.
