Make family/personal histories part of tradition
Contributed by: Jack Adams on 8/15/2007

There will be a free "Writing Personal and Family Histories" class at Friendly Valley Methodist Church starting Friday, August 31 at 3 p.m. No prior writing or computer experience is necessary. We'll even help you install dictation software on your computer so you don't have to use the keyboard any more! You can write for your family, friends, or even for magazines and get paid for it.

Free beginner and intermediate computer classes for seniors (or anyone of any age) begin Friday August 31 at the Valencia campus and the new Canyon Country campus of College of the Canyons. Learn the absolute basics, and also about the Internet, email, blogs, digital photography and more.

These classes are offered through College of the Canyons' Emeritus College. The office number is 661-362-3300 for questions or registration. As the teacher of the classes, I can be reached at jackadams@earthlink.net.

Invite your friends -- come as a group -- and even make new friends in class! Hope to see you in class.
