Santa Clarita was well represented at the Antelope Valley-Santa Clarita Bridge Competition held September 15-16 at the Palmdale Senior Center. The tournament's main sponsor was the American Contract Bridge League with over 165,000 members nationally. Placing in the overall rankings for the tournament were Roshen Hadulla, Santa Clarita, Lamont Johnson, Castaic, Joan Adams, Santa Clarita, Mary Anne and Charles Self, Valencia, Kathy Swaine, Valencia, Rand Pinsky, Valencia, George MacDonald, Agua Dulce, Joe Webber, Canyon Country, Basant Shah, Valencia, and Paula Olivares, Valencia. Locally the Valencia Bridge Studio offers duplicate games every Tuesday night at the Senior Center and bridge lessons for all levels of ability.
