On Saturday, May 12, the Golden Valley High School's YES I CAN booster club is holding a poker tournament to support this year's Summer Meltdown Autism Awareness Concert on Saturday, May 19. The tournament is for persons 21 and over and will be held at the Egg Plantation Restaurant (24415 Walnut St., Newhall).

Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with food and drinks provided by the Egg Plantation and cards will be dealt at 7 p.m. To participate, there is a $100 tax-deductible buy-in and a $25 donation for food and beverages.

Sponsors of the YES I CAN Summer Meltdown concert fund have provided prize packages that include: sports tickets, show tickets, massage packages, gift baskets and more. Sponsors include: The Palms Hotel and Casino and The Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the LA Dodgers, LA Kings, LA Clippers, LA Lakers, and Ultimate Fighting Championship.

As family and friends of the YES I CAN students of the William S. Hart District, we are inviting you and your friends to participate.
