One of Lerner and Lowe's most enduring and popular musicals, "My Fair Lady," arrives at the Canyon Theatre Guild on May 23 for a six-weekend run.
The show has been called one of the greatest musicals ever produced, and it features a host of singable tunes, energetic dance numbers and lavish costumes.
Almost everyone is familiar with the story of the cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, who is transformed into a "lady" by the brilliant, crotchety Professor Henry Higgins.
"My Fair Lady" is a timeless, entertaining musical for audiences of all ages.
Filled with delightful characters, "My Fair Lady" features such songs as "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly," "With A Little Bit Of Luck," "The Rain In Spain" and "On The Street Where You Live."
Directed by
Patti Finley, with
Billy Davis serving as assistant director, this production features the talents of
Jill Kocalis as Eliza Doolittle, the flower girl who wants to become a lady; CTG newcomer,
Bill Armstrong as the irascible Henry Higgins;
Randy Aronson as Col. Pickering;
Michael Davies as Eliza's n'er-do-well father, Alfred Doolittle;
Nicholas Laemmer as the love-struck Freddy Eynsford-Hill;
Jane Arnett as Mrs. Higgins;
Nicki Heyd as Mrs. Eynsford-Hill; and
Tamarah Ashton-Coombs as Henry's housekeeper, Mrs. Pearce.
The choreography is being created by
Rena Bailey-Barrett, with assistance from
Rebecca Coombs, and the vocal direction is being shared by
Greg Finley and
Tamarah Ashton-Coombs.
The costumes are being designed by
Janet McAnany and
Jill McGlynn and
Loren Burghout is designing the lighting, in addition to playing the role of Zoltan Karpathy.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m., with matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. from May 23 through June 28.
