The Repertory East Playhouse, known as The REP, will continue its Main Stage Series with the hit Broadway Musical "The Full Monty," sponsored by Dessert Alert.

"We have been waiting all year for this production. We are very excited to have a musical of this caliber on our stage. We have found some of the finest talent in Santa Clarita as well as from Hollywood and Los Angeles," said Artistic Director Ovington Michael Owston.

"The Full Monty" runs through June 14. Show times are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays.

The REP will host two post-show discussions on Sundays, May 18 and May 25, immediately following the performances. Join the cast and crew for an intimate discussion about the process of creating live theater.

"The Full Monty" tells of a group of unemployed steel workers in Buffalo, N.Y. After seeing how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers during their "Girls' Night Out," the men come up with a bold way to make some quick cash.

In the process, they find renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun.

As the guys work through their fears, self-consciousness, feelings of worthlessness and anxieties, they come to discover that not only are they stronger as a group, but that the strength they find in each other gives them the individual courage to face their demons and overcome them.

"Taking charge of your life and following your dreams is what 'The Full Monty' is all about." says Producer and Managing Director Mikee Schwinn. "There is more heart and soul in this show than skin. It's a very real, inspiring piece filled with great lessons for all of us."
