Santa Claritasinger/songwriter Trish Lester will entertain at the Sweetwater Café in Agua Dulce on Saturday, March 8.

An evening of Lester's original and traditional folk music will begin at 8 p.m. The Sweetwater Café, offering dinner or drinks by candlelight, is located at 33310 Agua Dulce Canyon Rd.

With a style likened to John Denver, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Kate Wolf, Lester is a contemporary folk artist who released her debut CD, "Plymouth Belvedere," in 2007.

The album is a testament to Lester's versatility, not only as an artist but also as a songwriter. She wrote the lyrics and composed music for 11 of the CD's 13 tracks.

Lester is also a member of "Women on the Move," a group of 14 independent Southern California artists featured on a 17-song compilation CD entitled "Beautiful."
