SHERMAN OAKS GRADWINS THEATRE AWARD
GRANVILLE, Ohio-Denison University graduate Greta Kuhlman, daughter ofMarsha and Ron Kuhlman of Van Nuys, Calif., received The Frederic K. W. CurryTheatre Award for 2008. This annual award was endowed in 1988 by the Curryfamily in memory of the 1954 graduate who played leading roles in Denisontheatre productions while majoring in sociology. The recipient is chosen fromgraduating seniors who, like Frederic Curry, have contributed to theatreproductions at Denison while majoring in other disciplines.
Kuhlman graduated cum laude with a major in German. She studied inGermany for one semester and served as a tutor in the department of modernlanguages. Kuhlman appeared in Denison University theatre productions of"The Romeo and Juliet Project," asJuliet, "The Buckeye You Save May Be Your Own," "Twelfth Night," the musical"Company," and "Hamlet."She alsoperformed in the Singers' Theatre Workshop production of Gilbert and Sullivan's"Patience" and sang with the women's a capella group Ladies Night Out. She alsowas a member of the theatre honorary society, Theta Alpha Phi.
