EcoFest 2008 coming to Valencia High School
Contributed by: Hannah Goldner, president, and Jaede Peck, co-president, Valencia High School's EPA on 4/22/2008

What:
The Santa Clarita Valley's first ever EcoFest will take place along Valencia High School's central campus pathway from 1-5:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18.

The purpose of EcoFest 2008 is to educate the public about sustainable living options, current environmental issues and conservation.

Activities for all ages include food and beverages, T-shirts, eco-friendly raffle prizes from sponsors including Whole Foods and Ecojot, face-painting, games, live entertainment including guest speaker Linda Sivertsen, vendor booths such as AVEDA and The Placerita Canyon Nature Center with free samples, sales, and information, on-site green vehicles and transportation.

This will be a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family outside, and admission is free!

Bring your old personal documents, e-Waste products and recyclables from home for safe and proper disposal.

If you are interested in becoming a vendor ($15 only) or a sponsor, there is still time. Contact Hannah Goldner, EPA president and EcoFest founder, at (661)714-4563 or eric.goldner@car.rr.com.

We can't wait to see you there!

Hosted by Valencia High School's EPA Club, with help from the Valencia High School Key Club and Girl Scout Troop 745.
Where: Valencia High School, central campus pathway, 27801 N. Dickason Drive, Valencia
