The full-service junk-removal company 1-800-GOT-JUNK?will hold a free electronics disposal day in recognition of International Earth Day.
The free disposal day will be held at The College Of The Canyons on Saturday, April 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until 500-unit limit is reached.
During that time, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? will accept difficult-to-dispose-of electronic items at no charge. There will be free collection and proper recycling ofresidential televisions, computer monitors, laptops, cell phones and PDA's only.
Recycling will be handled by ECS Refining.
This event is part of the company's first North America-wide e-waste event, which will tie into International Earth Day. The company's franchise partners across North America are holding e-waste events to demonstrate the company's dedication to dispose of junk in an environmentally responsible way, the company said in a prepared release.
