Free computer classes start the week of June 9 at the Emeritus College, through College of the Canyons.

Classes, which are not for credit, will be held all over Santa Clarita and Castaic.

There will be free creative writing classes, too. Learn how to write family and personal histories and how to make money from your writing.

Classes will also include an introduction to digital photography and digital video. Save money by learning how to buy your own computer cheaply, get free e-mail, buy legal software up to 80 percent off retail price and refill your own ink cartridges.

These will be fun classes, with a stimulating instructor and memorable lessons. Anyone 18 years old and older may attend free.

Classes are held weekly during summer, fall and spring semesters. Classes can be repeated indefinitely, never any charge.
