Honoring our veterans this weekend

Crecsenta Valley this weekend will be honoring our veterans and troops.

Thanks to the local Town Council, we now have "Home Town Hero" street banners to thank our local service members carrying on this country's commitment for a strong military forces ready to defend us and those who need defending.

Come and join us as we dedicate the first of 35 banners this Saturday morning, 9:30am at the American Legion Hall on La Crescenta Avenue.

This is the weekend to thank all those who have served and not to forget those who are now serving the this country's armed forces all as volunteers.

The VFW Post 1614 and the American Legion Post 288 will also be performing a military vigil at Two Strike Memorial Park on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., mainly for our local Fallen Hero Spc. Nich Steinbacher as well as for all the Fallen Heroes.

What could be a better tribute than that for this weekend? Thank you, veterans, and to those serving in our armed forces.
